Last year’s open rehearsal project proved to be such a success that it seemed a good idea to repeat the formula. On this occasion, Tasmin Little is accompanied by a charismatic team of artists: BBC New Generation Artist and supremely talented cellist, Michael Petrov; gifted clarinettist, Jordan Black (who played at John Adie’s Memorial Concert) and Andrey Gugnin whom Tasmin ‘discovered’ while in Australia last year. Tasmin will be exploring Debussy’s three instrumental Sonatas not only comparing the links between them but also their differing qualities. Following a break for lunch, the artists will return to give an open rehearsal on Messiaen’s profoundly moving Quartet for the End of Time.
